Why Buyers are Looking but Waiting to Buy

Buyers are out looking but are still hesitating to put ink on paper.  Why?

One reason is that most of the existing inventory has been around for awhile, and buyers are waiting and hoping for new and better product.  Last week, a new listing in Chatham Borough had 7 offers in less than 4 days and is now in attorney’s review.  Obviously, this seller understands the market, and their broker gave them the hard truths.  I can tell you…I lost many listing opportunities in the last 7 months because my suggested sale price was too low in the eyes of the sellers.  Strangely, they are ALL still on the market.
