Living Green at Home - Water-Saving Tips

Do you know what the Top 2 household water wasters are?

Flushing toilets and taking showers!

Here are some water-saving tips you can use in your home:

Tip 1:  Replace old toilets with either HET (high-efficiency toilets), which use no more than 1.6 gallons per flush, or a Dual Flush Toilet, which uses 0.8 gallons for a half flush or 1.6 gallons for a full flush, exceeding the savings of an HET (Toto USA and Kohler).

Tip 2 - Today’s low-flow shower heads will reduce water consumption by 30% on average (8 gallons per 5 minutes) without sacrificing water pressure!  It does this by combining water and compressed air, which creates streams of bubbly water jets (Jet Stream® and Evolve® shower heads).
