February Existing-Home Sales Decline
March 27th, 2011 by Martha McDonnell
According to the National Association of REALTORS® existing-home sales fell in February following three straight monthly increases. What this means is that fewer buyers went to contract early to late November 2010; part of this trend may be due to harsh winter conditions. As a company, we tend to look at sales volume relative to quarters; this gives us a comprehensive view of buyer behavior. Today we are seeing low inventory numbers across all New York City commuter towns with allot of buyers wanting to focus in on a property and having to compete, a trend we haven’t seen since 2006.
