Located 40 miles due west of New York City, New Providence covers almost four square miles and is home to approximately 12,000 residents. Commutability to New York City, highly rated public schools and an attractive real estate base has made New Providence a desirable New Jersey town for many decades.

Commuter Parking in New Providence Borough New Jersey is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Quarterly or annual permits are available to New Providence residents at the Borough Clerk’s Office. Daily parking (Metered Parking Spaces) for non-permit holders is available on a limited basis in the Murray Hill Rail Road parking lot. There is no meter parking at the NP parking lot. Permits are required and enforced.
