DRIVING?

Driving to New York City? Know the rules, where to and not to park and remember, no talking on the cell phone while driving in New York State!

Commuter parking:  Rail, Bus & Automobile

Parking is scarce! Summit, Bernards Township & Morristown offer non-resident parking on the Midtown Direct & Gladstone lines. All other towns offer parking to residents only and are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Most towns currently have a wait list for a commuter parking permit. Confirm commuter parking availability BEFORE you buy your new home!

New Jersey Transit maintains a list of all municipalities that offer commuter parking, resident & non resident, and who to call. Parking rules change frequently, so do not be surprised when a town changes their commuter parking ordinances.
