Millburn Township NJ and Short Hills NJ are established suburban communities located 25 miles west of New York City in Essex County. Millburn Township Public Schools are consistently rated among the best in the state and nation. Millburn is made up of three areas: South Mountain, Millburn Center and Wyoming District. Short Hills is comprised of Glenwood, Knollwood, Brookhaven, Country Club, Merrywood, Deerfield, Mountaintop, and White Oak Ridge & Old Short Hills Estates. The township has a population of 19,765 according to the 2000 census and approximately 6,100 residential properties.
